Why Storeyz exists

Storeyz started with a specific, repeated frustration: planning a video carefully, filming it, and then discovering in the edit that a shot was missing. Not because of carelessness — because the plan was written in the order the video runs, and the filming happened in the order that was physically possible.

Those two orders almost never match. You plan hook, context, payoff. You film everything at the first location, then everything at the second, then whatever is left before the light goes. A spreadsheet can only hold one of those orders at a time, so you either lose the story or lose the shots.

Every tool that took the problem seriously was built for film crews — call sheets, contact lists, script breakdown, department scheduling. Useful if you have thirty people arriving at a location. Pure overhead if you are the entire crew.

So Storeyz holds both orders at once. The board stays in story order for planning. Shoot mode regroups the same shots by location and setup for the day. Tick one off on location and it is ticked in both. That is the whole idea, and everything else in the product exists to serve it.
