Graduation Video Shot List Template

A graduation film has one shot it cannot miss: the walk across the stage. Everything else can be recovered, and that cannot. Know the running order, know where your graduate is in it, and be in position early.

The rest of the day is portraits and context.

Tips for this kind of shoot

  • Get the running order and count the names. Being two names early is the whole job.
  • A long lens is essential — you will be a long way from the stage.
  • Family portraits immediately after, before people scatter. Everyone leaves faster than you expect.

Use this list on your next shoot

Storeyz keeps your shots in story order for planning and regroups them by location for the day — then you tick them off on your phone as you get them.
