Onboarding Video Shot List Template
An onboarding video answers the questions a new starter is too embarrassed to ask: where do I sit, where is the kitchen, who is that person, what happens at 9am. It is a practical film, and it should be shot practically.
Film it as the walk a new starter actually takes.

Tips for this kind of shoot
- Film the actual route from the front door to the desk. It is the single most useful shot in the video.
- Have people introduce themselves by name and role. New starters watch this for faces, not policy.
- Re-record the people section annually. Nothing dates an onboarding film faster than introducing someone who left.
