Case Study Video Shot List Template

A case study video needs evidence, and evidence has to be filmed at the time. The most common failure is filming the interview six months after the project finished, with nothing left to show for it.

This list is structured around the narrative and calls out what to capture during the work, not after.

Tips for this kind of shoot

  • Film the before state at the start of the project. It is the shot you cannot go back for and the one that makes the after mean anything.
  • Frame the after shot identically to the before. Matched pairs are the most persuasive thing in a case study.
  • Get one sentence with a real number in it.
